Before FYPs and Explore pages helped us discover styles and trends, there were magazines. I remember being sprawled on the floor flipping the pages of Seventeen, Essence, Cosmo and Honey... dog-earing pages of outfits I'd one day wear. But one of the best parts was skipping straight to the quiz pages...the fill-in-the-blanks, the "circle your answer" confessionals, the questionnaires that somehow always felt like they were written just for you.
There was something about seeing it all laid out in messy handwriting, doodled hearts that made it feel real. Personal. Like a diary you didn't mind sharing with the world.
